>October 2008 EDR MEDIA COMPLETES MAJOR FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS FOR ITS BEACHWOOD STUDIOS PRODUCTION CENTEREDR Media has completed a major upgrade to Beachwood Studios Production Center. The improvements, which include additions to field production, edit suites and infrastructure, dramatically add new capabilities, improve efficiencies, and allow the facility to interface with a greater array of external digital media formats. The improvements include a new high definition camera for field and studio production in 11 formats, three new sophisticated commercial post production systems for broadcast standard programs and commercials—complete with all the tools and interfaces for finishing in SD and HD formats. Also newly installed is a facility-wide, inter-format, and high performance shared storage system for interfacing all digital platforms and suites, including audio and 3D creative workstations. Commercial widescreen displays and a variety of software and hardware peripherals expand input and output capabilities. “We are very excited about the new facility improvements at Beachwood Studios,” said Marcia Owen, EDR’s Chief Operating Officer. “These upgrades along with the extensive tools and facilities already assembled at EDR will dramatically enhance our creative services and products.” Peter Vrettas, EDR’s CEO added: “We are not done yet with these upgrades.
